bridal shower (a.k.a. bridal outing with the groom driving) part 1: t-house

t-house

giving gifts!

the restaurant

the fooooooood!

traipsing around.

the spaaaah

zzzzz…

good friday. yes, that friday was good indeed.

look what i found in italianni’s.

we went to laguna ecopark(?) for lunch and starbucks. i don’t miss starbucks, but i want to buy a manila mug and that frap tumbler.

so much fish!

jill in her noli me tangere shirt.

gary in his “how to jump from a moving vehicle” shirt.

the trompe l’oeil art in the restaurant.

one of the best fries i’ve tried. crispy potato wedges served with truffle sauce. mmmm.

spaghetti with giant meatballs.

i just have to show ado that the newly-planted trees here have the yellow caution tape.

then we went to georgia club (photos next entry). then to tagaytay. i love the flower stalls along the street!

jill’s “reverse bluebells only not blue”.

we had dinner at viewsite, overlooking the taal volcano.

this is the jill storytelling look.

i missed these food!

happy easter, everyone!

the most indulgent breakfast

babakau (pronounced bambaCAO).

made of starch. then fried. and because we think it doesn’t have enough calories yet, we slather it with butter and jelly. for breakfast, yes. after one, i feel like drinking coca-cola. early in the morning.

it’s like shakoy, only flat and not coated in sugar. butter and jam are very worthy substitutes.

mix ingredients in a bowl.

flatten.

cut into serving-size portions.

fry.

it should bubble within a minute.

cook until golden brown.

serve with butter and jam.

crack open.

spread butter and jam.

a true cardiac delight!
